Benton Harbor High School is a high school in Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States, owned and operated by Benton Harbor Area Schools.

In 2009, the school received a $52,000 grant from the U.S. federal government's stimulus program to upgrade its cafeteria equipment. The school was eligible for the grant because more than half its students were eligible to receive free or reduced-cost school meals.[1]

Benton Harbor High School boys basketball team represents Benton Harbor High School in the SMAC or the big 16. Benton Harbor High School's mascot is a tiger. The tigers play their home games at what is now called Don Farnum Gymnasium which is located in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Wilson Chandler played for the boys basketball team. He now plays in the NBA for the New York Knicks and was a 1st round pick (#23) in the draft. He was named Mr. Basketball in 2005.
Anthony Miller played for the boy basketball team. He got drafted into the NBA in 1994. He has played for several teams. He was named Mr. Basketball in 1990.
Chet Walker played for the boys basketball team. He was drafted into the NBA in 1962. Walker played with elite players like Wilt Chamberlain. He even took up acting.
Robert Whaley played for the boys basketball team. He was drafted in 2005 to the Utah Jazz. He played their for about a year. He was also the number one contender for Mr. Basketball, but Benton Harbor didn't win the state championship that year.
In the 2008-2009 season Benton Harbor High School boys basketball team was ranked 35th in Michigan with a record of 17 wins and 5 loses. Benton Harbor boys basketball team has been building up a young team. They are ranked 26th in defense and 30th in power.[4] fbb
